Breakaway Events

October weekend, comes to an end...

Over 90 people joined Breakaway at YHA National Forest this weekend, all families who have not benefitted from the charity before. Shy and nervous children, and equally nervous parents arrived on Friday evening. Another fantastic visits from Dale @Critterish Allsorts, and a few ice Breaking games, got the children and parents mixing and chatting to others. Stories began to be exchanged, and visable relief could be seen on the faces of people who really did think that they were on their own.

Breakaway August Weekend comes to an end...and was a huge success :)

Our 10th event, Breakaway August Weekend 2011 came to an end yesterday. Over 80 people attended the event at YHA National Forest South Derbyshire. The sun came out and the rain stayed away for the majority of the time. !


Breakaway would like to thank all our Corporate Sponsors, companies and idividuals who have supported us this year - without this support we would be unable to help so many families attend our events.

Hi! All those that have a place at this weekend should have had their program, if not its on it was to you ! For those who havent had it yet, or have lost it hehehe Here it is !! How to get to YHA National Forest 48 Bath Lane, Moira, Swadlincote, Derbyshire DE12 6BD Telephone Number (01283) 226992 Follow the signs for Conkers Waterside in Moira. YHA National Forest is 300m West of the entrance along Bath Lane. Bus information: To Moira Post Office (10 mins walk): Macpherson Coaches no.23 from Ashby de la Zouch. To Overseal (20 mins walk): Arriva no.8 from Burton on Trent.

Breakaway 2010 Xmas Party

Christmas Party 3rd & 4th December 2010 Breakaway is very pleased to announce that the 3rd Christmas party will be for 2 nights and include seasonal activities, at YHA Ilam Hall in the Peak District. Thanks to the generous support of CliniMed & SecuriCare this 2 night stay costs just £41.95 per person! Breakaway is CliniMed & SecuriCare’s charity of the year 2010 The price includes all food, accommodation in private rooms (mostly en suite), and loads of seasonal fun and activities.
